About Brooke
From our humble beginnings as a hospital for ex-warhorses in 1934 to becoming an international animal welfare charity, we’ve been working tirelessly to improve the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people whose lives and livelihoods depend on them, for over 90 years.
Now, over 100 million working horses, donkeys and mules provide vital support to an estimated 600 million people, in some of the poorest places in the world.
