I'm walking 62 Miles in October to raise funds for Brooke

Every year, over 6 million donkeys are killed for their skins.

That's why I'm walking 62 miles this October for Brooke, the world's largest working equine welfare organisation.

Every mile I walk and every pound you donate will help expose this cruelty and protect donkeys from suffering and slaughter.

Please support my challenge if you can. Together, we can help create a future where donkeys are safe from the skin trade.

Thank you!

Continuing everyday walks

I am still on track to reach the 62 mile goal - some days it has been easier than other to reach 2miles but I'm determined to get there.

Why donkeys are important to low income communities

Thursday 17th Sep
I'm really looking forward to walking for Brooke during October to help them in their fight to stop donkey theft and smuggling of donkeys .    it is estimated that donkeys are essential to more than 500 million people in rural and low income communities.  They help families carry water, transport goods, access healthcare and earn an income.  But every year, more than 6 million donkeys are killed to produce ejido, a gelatine produced from boiling donkey skins for use in traditional medicines, cosmetics and food.  The donkeys are stolen and smuggled across borders and the suffering they endure is extreme.  It is predicted that Africa alone could lose half its donkey population in the next 15 years if the trade doesn't stop.  Please help Brooke in this campaign - whatever you can give will help towards protecting donkeys and the people who depend on them for their livelihood.
